This study carries out an analysis of the interventions performed in crosswalks of Pamplona, and makes proposals in oder to not only have a better visibility and therefore better road safety but also to improve urban quality and contribute to traffic calming, with the condition of being economically acceptable.
As a result of this study two different way of intervention have been proposed:
GREENER FOR OUR CITY. As an optimal solution, these spaces could work as “bioswales” or sustainable drainage points.
MORE PEDESTRIAN SPACE. This solution incoporates the previous spaces to crosswalks with a desgin specifically focused on the pedestrian perception of the environment.
